JYPE’s current status as a ‘Big 3′ company?

In life, there are things that are usually more popular than others. People, events and even trends. In the music industry, this happens quite often with idols and artists being more successful than others and their companies given the spotlight too. In K-Pop, I think it’s the opposite where most fans focus upon the label of where the idols came from. The Big 3 companies (SM, JYP and YG) are an example of this being the most popular music labels in Korea.

After reading this article, I’ve noticed JYPE in the last few years has been in the decline. It used to be my favourite label of idols but 2PM and Wonder Girls are the only groups I like. Even these groups are slowly becoming irrelevant and the fault is in JYP and the company. Home to creating stars such as Rain, Wonder Girls and g.o.d, it looks like JYP may lose its reputation as a Big 3 company to other competitors. Well, at least that’s the way I see it.

The J-Pop Industry Today…

I realised recently that I don’t have much to say about the Japanese music industry these days. It’s just come to my attention by how I write my blog entries of J-Pop in comparison to K-Pop over the years. I’m getting there now but still… I’ve never really got involved in any forums or found any updating new sites until last year. And the entertainment industry is now more cutesy, girl group dominated and money hungry.

Journey to Music Bank Paris

Previously last year, I went to SM Town Paris and thought I would never go back for another concert. Seeing that 2PM and UKISS were going to perform at Music Bank urged me to go. Two groups I would never see in Europe.

What Kids think of K-Pop who have no clue about it!

Kids React to K-Pop

I absolutely was hoping that Kids React would NEVER do K-Pop. One thing I noticed is their reactions to certain things that we all say about K-Pop: generic, catchy tunes etc. And the way these kids see it is Justin Bieber/Selena Gomez/Lady Gaga stuff and they all look the same. What didn’t surprise me is that most of them thought they were Japanese or Chinese.

Also, some people are getting so angry over what the kids are saying that they want to stab them – with forks! They are kids and that is their mindless opinion of Kpop artists. Is this the first time some of you Kpop fans have seen people who don’t know anything about the genre react? Check out the deleted scenes too and tell me what you think!

Caribbean Bay MV = 소녀시대-2PM collab

As much as I am starting to like 소녀시대 and they are my #4 favourite group, no…I don’t want to see this 소녀시대-2PM collaboration ever again. Perhaps, it’s because AGAIN it’s staged as Yoona-Taecyeon. I would actually want to see more Chansung-Seohyun or Nichkhun-Yoona.

차…I’m envious of 소녀시대. Now I want to go to Caribbean Bay T_T

K-Pop groups that have a longer chance not to disband?

Of course we have no clue what kind of controversies lie ahead for many of the K-Pop Artists nowadays but put aside that, who does everyone think stands a chance of having a longer career as a group? Of course, some may pull out to go solo but who are some of the groups you think will stay together for a long time like…DBSK, although we don’t know what will happen to them right now. The gap between them is growing wider and we don’t know if they will be able to reach 6 years on December 26th.

Let’s Work out like SNSD!

Throw any those burgers, milkshakes and anything else fattening from a fast food joint. We are going to get lose some fat!

I mean…I’m not calling any of my readers that, don’t worry, just saying that even I have extra fat in my bones that I want to lose – in order to be like my favourite Asian stars myself. Maybe you want to do the same too.

Here’s a solution, if you want honey thighs like Tiffany or an X-shaped body like Jessica, then watch and learn!

f(x), SM’s new “LACHATA” dolls

The last girl group, I hope. But these girls are from the money-making SM despite Super Junior, SNSD and SHINee all finishing promotions and even he is still in a lawsuit with DBSK, he launches his new girl group, f(x) and the name is a mathematical term. Find it strange? Well, so do I.
