A Look at Fanfiction: Video Games, K-Pop and More…

There are a variety of ways to create a fanfic, however one of the most interesting ways that has recently become popular is for a single fan can take on the identity of a character/figure and act as if he or she is that figure in real life. - nolannabi, kpopkollective writer

If you’re a part of a fandom whether it’s a game, book series or artist, Fanfiction is definitely a part of it. After taking a look at articles written about fanfiction, I decided to write my own. Just for a moment, I would like to concentrate on a few categories of fanfiction that I don’t see focused enough in fanfiction articles: Anime, K-Pop and Video Games. Continue reading

Is the Korean music industry losing its creativity?

Music around the world in the eyes of many critics, fans and people working in the industry see a change in the creativity of music. The Korean music industry seems to be no different. A while ago, allkpop made a post about “Is the Korean music industry losing it’s creativity?”. In response to this, the writers at Candy Nine and earcandyexpress have made a second collab post together on this topic. Our first one was done for a review on SHINee’s Lucifer album.

Note: BUMP This and fangirltainment writers were going to participate but I was supposed this article out 3 months ago so I’m putting it out now.

Chocolat: The good and the bad things

I don’t post about every group that I take an interest to but it has been a while since I last posted something. Chocolat recently released their debut MV, Syndrome. The song is fine and I really like that there is a change in K-Pop because they have 3 members who are half American, half Korean. The song is fine and I do like the group however, I don’t like when it’s obvious who gets the spotlight.

Spread the word. Because Hallyuwood is under construction. May I say, because it’s made by me it’s not going to be an offical site like http://www.hallyuwood.com, it will be on forumotion. If you’re not happy, go to Winglin if you like.

The only question is: Would you join and spread the word that it’s coming soon in 2011 for me?

2PM’s 2nd anniversary!

Make sure to tweet #2yearspm on Twitter ^_^
Happy 2nd anniversary, my chocolate covered shower-rubbing wild bunny-crazy guys! May you have a better year from Sep 4th 2010 to Sep 4th 2011 as you need to go backwards in your popularity, music (Without U wasn’t good) and start all over again from all the troubles from the past year.

It’s also been a year since Jay’s Myspace Incident broke off from an (and I presume) angry Wooyoung fan but let’s not get into that because I am a Hottest Jaywalker and I don’t want to create any trouble.

So the question for this post is: When did you start liking 2PM and why? And who is your favourite member?

2pm Pictures, Images and Photos

For me, I found them in May 2009 after looking for a new group and choose them because I didn’t know anything about them. Jaebeom was my first favourite, then Nichkhun but when I started getting to like the group more, my favourite became Junsu. I love how honest and fan-serving they are; touching each other, showering together, talking about porn like it’s nothing to be afraid. I will still support them and Jay despite what terrible things have happened this year.

Think I’ll go on a spaz of pictures now.

Last four months of 2010 in K-Pop, what are we expecting?

Like the new layout for the rest of 2010? ^_^

Due to good response on last year’s post, I thought I’d do another. This time, it’s divided into Confirmed and Predictions.

Can’t believe this year will be the my 3rd year (since 2008) watching Gayo Daejun.
