Issues with relationship variety shows

issue4

Konno posted on his blog a short while ago about the issues with shows such as We Got Married  and it made me think that there wasn’t enough pointing out about the show. Not only in We Got Married do people see it as a dreamlike world for themselves, but also Mnet Scandal and The Romantic & Idol. These shows have similar elements but also bring a lot of issues with it. Netizens, fans and other viewers don’t seem to realise how sucked they get into watching these shows and thinking it’s a reality.

Of course I’m not talking about every person who watches We Got Married. Most of us enjoy watching it and realise it is not real.

Best & Worst of 2012: End of Year Review

jk

Oh look guys! We aren’t dead – as I expected! Apparently it’s been delayed to 2015 now!

Anyways, after the 2009, 2010 and 2011 yearly posts, here is the long awaited 2012 one. But these days, I have no idea what is the best, I can see more things are the worst.

Korean Celebrities in the UK [2011]

cr: ohgelie

UK K-Pop fans have experienced meeting more idols than I have ever expected to see this year. 2011 has seen the likes of many Korean celebrities from Rain to SHINee come from events, concerts or sightings in our country. No-one could have missed the chance to see any one of these artists, could they?

(In case anyone wants to know, I am an admin of Unitedkpop and posted the article there as well)

Best & Worst of 2010: End of Year Review

Got to say in terms of 2010, it’s been a pretty tiresome year. J-Pop has made me realise some things that I never knew before – in a negative way. K-Pop has just upset me so much despite comebacks of my favourites and news that depressed me. It’s not all been so bad but…I had kind of hoped from all the artists that came back (e.g. Queens of J-Pop were present this year, BoA and Se7en who have been seen for years) that they would have a bigger success than usual.

Best & Worst of 2009: End of Year Review

WARNING: Even though these topics have bullet points on them, if you are lazy and do not want to read much, I suggest you skip to the Overall part and also answer the questions at the bottom. Thank you! ^_^

Looks like we have reached the end of an eventful year in J-Pop and especially, K-Pop. I would like to say, despite my lack of knowledge of the J-Pop World for 3 years, I can say the world of J-Pop and K-Pop seemed more calmer at the start of the year compared to the drama that later unfolding in the following months. Let’s recap what happened in the year of 2009 of J-Pop and K-Pop, from my standards and choices, of course.

FINALLY! A Muzik Victory!

j

4minute. The group that was disgustingly compared to 2NE1 and After School for their style during Hot Issue.

I always thought it was completely different to the other two groups and I’m a fan of all three. Their style back with Hot Issue was described as “copied” while to me, it was “unique and colourful”, I have to say that out of 2NE1, After School and 4minute, I’m basing my style now as a teenager on 4minute’s Hot Issue clothing.

4minute3 Seriously, who wouldn’t want to stand out like this in the summer?

Well, now 4minute has won their first mutizen with Muzik and can offically prove they are no longer in the shadows of 2NE1 or After School’s style. They are the original Hot Issues. Muzik definitely is a song that no-one can ignore or not dance too – if so, then you are one lame person.

4minute’s Muzik Rocks!

20090828_4minute3

I was a bit worried since the MV seemed to be a darker version of Hot Issue but when including For Muzik as a short intro and Muzik into the video, it doesn’t matter anymore.

And whoever started saying, that the car in the MV is similar to 2NE1, then you obviously can’t tell the difference between scenes and different types of cars! You are so wrong!
