Remember when I blogged about them before? Well now, after 10 years of being together (8 years if you want to go by debut), they are disbanding. One of my favourite J-urban groups disappearing in less than 18 days…
Although, I actually stopped listening to YA-KYIM back in 2009. When I got into them back in 2007, they still were going through a musical style change to Pop/R&B at the time with songs like Superstar and Beauty x Beauty. Before that, they were always on the J-Urban side with their first two flawless albums. YA-KYIM were so underrated in the Japanese market despite moving to a more well-known company like Warner Music Japan but I feel like Victor Entertainment was much better at making their music and promoting them. I feel WMJ pushed them in such a different musical direction that their music got worse and made them more unknown to the audience. I don’t like anything they put out after Super☆Looper.
I only wish them the best in the future with whatever they do and will just reminisce on their music from 2005-2008. Goodbye Alisa, Yurie and Miku, you were one of my favourite J-urban groups.
I’m gonna leave you with one of my favourite songs while it’s still available on YouTube:
At first I am from http://akainokuchibiru.blogspot.de/! Thanks for your comment.
I am very sad that Ya-Kyim will disband at the end of december. They never got the attention the should have gotten. I love their music, their old stuff but also their new songs,
I nearly cried when I read that they disband thought I am actuelly not that kinde person who cries over people leaving a band or bands disbanding etc.! >-<
I hope they will have a happy live after disbanding and maybe/hopefully at least one of them will have a solo debut. I wish they would just go on hiatus!
