Sunye is getting married, I'm crying tears

Literally of happiness. Being a fan of 5 years and to see a member of my favourite girl group get married, I’m so happy for her. You can read the announcement here! She is also the first second-generation idol to get married.

After the announcement, as anyone should be I was very happy. For anyone I remember back in July (?) when there were rumours/blind item of an idol with a couple ring and loads of Wonderfuls thought it was her. Come to think of it, I could see her wear a ring on her finger but I thought maybe James just bought it for her. But recently, JYP denied rumours back in September about Sunye getting married so maybe they were planning announcing something from then?

Oh well, I am so happy she is in love and she has found someone like James. Since Sunye has had such a hard life and she deserves every positive thing that comes her way.

So Hot era was my favourite.

For anyone who doesn’t know, I’ve been a Wonder Girls fan since December 2007 when I first clicked on a Veoh video to their MV, Tell Me. From then on, I became a Wonderful. They and DBSK are the longest idol groups that I have followed but with the Wonder Girls being the only girl group at the time still now, I still loved them to this day! Sunye was not one of my favourites at the time (Sunmi and Yoobin was) I got into the group but I always thought she was sweet and humble. I did at one point have 4minute as my number 1 girl group from 2009 to early 2010 but Wonder Girls always left a better impression on me with their music and personalities so I still continued to support and follow them despite lack of promotions in Korea and their popularity dropping then. So from Tell Me to now, I have been a Wonderful.

But I am also a bit angry with kjpop’s post. The blogger scared me at 10AM this morning from a link to AKP (I don’t trust their posts) about this announcement. The title of their post was: WONDER GIRLS TO DISBAND, THE LEGACY CONTINUES! So naturally, I was about to cry but when I read kjpop’s post I was a bit mad at the manipulation of the title.

Personally I don’t believe Wonder Girls are set to disband because if kjpop still continued to follow the girls, the blogger would notice how the girls have grown musically and maturely. The blogger has said their dedication has dwindled and was unable to support the group but maybe if they carried on a little longer to this day, they would have seen that the Wonder Girls are closer than ever, working as hard as they have been for the past 5 years. Sunye is not leaving in my opinion. And no, I am not being a delusional fangirl. JYPE has stated she will still be leader. Of course idols do not last forever but the Wonder Girls have a good friendship between them so I don’t think the group will end any time soon. If they are doing solo activities soon, I doubt it’s because they are going break up but they just want to focus on other promotions for the group. If Yeeun gets her own album, I want it to be released.

Roughly translates to “Shall I make one marriage special program? My gift, heh heh heh come with me!”

Also it seems Mark PD (he is the mastermind behind the three seasons of MTV Wonder Girls, Wonder Girls’ Wishing on a Star MV and Made in Wonder Girls) seems to have hinted at a marriage special program, I would watch that.

So congratulations to Sunye and James! I hope you have a great day on January 26th and JYP, remember to invite me, I must be invited. Ihope he’s the piantist and whispers JYP when she goes up the altar. Now, Sunye will be a Wonder Wife (^O^)/
