This won’t be the best fanaccount ever because I’m pretty lazy writing this. You can watch the fancam first of all from the day I went to the hotel so let me start from there…
On the 22nd, I went to the hotel. EXO-K (Chanyeol, Sehun, Kai) went to the toliet during the formal dinner they were having with Norazo, 4minute, MBC representatives and other performers for the next day. People, they were in suits and were looking so fresh and so clean~ 4minute (Hyuna, Jiyoon? Jihyun?) came out shortly afterwards to go toliet. My friend say Hyuna was pretty and she was like “Thank you~” in a cutesy way (but the way she said it seemed like she knew she was hot). So when they all came out, I saw 4minute without no makeup at the hotel. It was only then I realised that Jiyoon and Jihyun were with Hyuna beforehand when I thought they were all dancers. Gayoon smiled at me when I said “so pretty” in Korean (so that’s my wife from now on). 4minute all left the dinner afterwards and we had to direct them because they almost went out the wrong door LOL. Then EXO-K came out afterwards with their manager and were surrounded by the other fans at the lobby. Some getting way too excited and screaming >____<
On the 23rd, the MBC Korean Festival was held at the O2 Indigo Arena in North Greenwich. They were getting people in during the performances which was really bad as I came in during the drum performance but some of my friends came in halfway After the drum performance, 4minute came on and performed 4 songs: Volume Up, Mirror Mirror, Hot Issue and HuH. I recorded the “Samul Nori” (Four Play) musicians and the ladies doing Arirang together so it wouldn’t take much space on my camera, they were really interesting and I loved their outfits for the performance. Next Norazo came out and what I loved is that they got the crowd going with their songs and made everyone cheer, they were absolutely amazing! A lot of Korean Cultural fans are going to look up their music more and are becoming fans of them!
Dae2Bak Movement is is the kpop cover dance team who will perform at the MBC Korean Culture Festival 2012 in London. They were really good! I got footage of them performing Shinhwa’s Venus, TTS’ Twinkle, Wonder Girls’ Be My Baby, UKISS’ Doradora, T-ara’s Roly Poly and B.A.P’s Warrior. Then the Hanbok showing began and there were some beautiful hanboks being displayed made by Park Sul Nyeo. I really want one made by her now! Then finally after what most people were waiting for was for EXO-K! And when they came out, majority of fans were chanting, standing and going crazy. Especially during the talk, I cannot believe how excited everyone was!
May I just add a little something to my fanaccount? I’m sure there are many fans who have never seen a Korean idol before but there are things we need to remember, UK fans:
People think of UK fans as terrible from the airport experiences even though we know we aren’t bad. But I must say, the majority of fans who went to the hotel were respectable and nice but a few fans were going really crazy and trying to touch a member of EXO-K (Did anyone even think about 4minute or Norazo?). I don’t know if it’s your first time seeing an idol or you are just way too excited, but please do not scream down the hotel and remember they are humans too. Sure, I would love to be close to my favourite idols but to not give them space to move and constant shouting or screaming in their ear is not nice. I know I went stalking (see my first video) but some of you should be discreet and quiet. I know the fangirls were excited but still, there goes line somewhere. Hopefully from now on, if we go to see Korean idols in hotels or airports, we’ll be quiet and show other countries fans that we are not that bad with idols
