Is the Korean music industry losing its creativity?

Music around the world in the eyes of many critics, fans and people working in the industry see a change in the creativity of music. The Korean music industry seems to be no different. A while ago, allkpop made a post about “Is the Korean music industry losing it’s creativity?”. In response to this, the writers at Candy Nine and earcandyexpress have made a second collab post together on this topic. Our first one was done for a review on SHINee’s Lucifer album.

Note: BUMP This and fangirltainment writers were going to participate but I was supposed this article out 3 months ago so I’m putting it out now.

Story behind Asianfanfics

Remember I wanted to create a site for people to do fanfiction that was better than Winglin? Well, I’m actually really glad I don’t have to anymore. After all that planning, I gave up and I’ve been pretty busy in my life. But recently one of my friends told me about this site: Asianfanfics and it is much better than Winglin.

It’s amazing because the site started two years ago in April and no-one or myself has ever found it. I’ve heard it’s only got quite popular now. The site was created by a guy named Jason who originally made the site because Winglin kept deleting his girlfriend’s stories (which is why I never post on Winglin anyways). The site evolved from just Taiwanese artists fanfics to a range such as Kpop and Jpop artists. Sadly, his girlfriend died a year later of pneumonia leaving Jason to run the site by himself. However, what I find sweet is that he says “it’s a way for me to honor her memory.” I found more about an interview he had with Time Vault here.

What I like about this site is that it is much easier to search for stories than Winglin ever did. You can even suggest tags!! I’m glad Jason has made such a great site, it’s easier for me to upload fanfics!!

For anyone who wants to know, my account is here and so far, I’ve only posted one fanfic which is a Jay Park, Junsu, Taecyeon, OC story called Tik Tok. If you’re interested in reading, subscribing or being friends just go onto my profile.

[WANTED] Japanese or Korean penpals!!

Recently, apart from my usual posts about the J/K-Industry and Dance covers, I have started receiving penpal letters. Living in London, I’ve just been getting ready for University and hopefully working so I’ve been a bit bored despite how many fanfics I have to do! Currently, I have four penpals. One from New York, one from Toronto and two from Japan (but honestly, one of them hasn’t sent me a letter since March >_
