How can NyNyOnline improve before 2011?

I think NyNyOnline really needs to be changed. To be honest, I want more views, comments and stats. Everyone is going school, college or university at this time so no-one really has time to go through other blogs or update their own. And looking at a blog like mine compared to Sora to Kujira or Confessions of a K-Pop Addict, it seems pretty lame. They both pull in more readers than me.

And I see why. Sora to Kujira has a unique name and Jin (the writer and blog friend of mine) has a good writing style. The writer of Confessions of the K-Pop Addict is funny and awesome too. Even their About page inspires me.

(You may use other blogs that you read in comparision – that’s how cool I am about it).

  • New name?
  • New look?
  • New writing style?

  1. I understand what you mean.I get like 6 views a day on my new blog. I think you have to haves loyal group of readers, put some wot in your posts, have a giveaway or contest of some sort because those always get people coming in. Personally, I like the way you write, but sometimes your posts lack wit and are on the long side.

    • I agree with Arie. As of now, I think your doing a very good job with your blog. The most important thing is to have loyal readers who visit everyday and enjoy your posts.

Of course, it never hurts to post about something you know will bring in a lot of readers.

  2. No matter what, always stay true to what you are interested in. Write for you and not anyone else. Even if it takes longer to get an audience, you’ll develop a unique style that no one else can reproduce. You’ll also stay interested in writing, which is hugely important; people can tell when the author is writing to be sensational and nothing else.

It takes a long time to develop a blogging style and persona. If you are unhappy with how things are now, take note of what you like! Start a notebook (or just a list) of things you like about blogs you visit. Try to incorporate them into your own blog, maybe putting your own spin on things before doing so.

A few other things I know a lot of the “successful” blogs include: ambiguous titles that spark curiosity, imagery in every post, and fearless writing that stays true to the blog style.

Even though I don’t post a lot when school is going on, I have experimented before with writing every day. I saw a LOT more views during that time. People like to visit places that have new content often.

I’m not a huge example of success, but I get fairly consistent view counts that climb by the month.

Good luck with whatever you’re going to do :) I think your blog is great as it is, but there is no hurt in wanting to go the extra mile.

  3. Hey, Ny.

Sorry. I just got into you now. Was out the whole weekend. :(

Anyways, I definitely think giving our blogs some revamping like a new look can do some major hits.

Like mine. I tweaked my layout a bit, and voila. Additional clicks and hits.

    Good luck, BB. :)
