By the way…I know I’m posting WAY too much K-Pop these days, I will try to find other games, j-pop and anime to talk about, I promise.
This week, Se7en and SHINee released their MV’s. Now, the thing I’ve noticed over the past week is that SHINee (for the first time) is starting to get antis due to their concept pictures and Lucifer MV compared to Se7en who is getting high praises for his mini album especially his choice of title track and collaboration song with T.O.P.
Let’s see why…
Korea’s Prince.
One of my listed husbands in K-Pop. Please Se7en, Never go back to America. I miss your lips. Your younger brother, Ki Kwang was ok for last year but you are better. ^_^
Now, international fans seem to be impressed with the mini album and MV. I am of course. Se7en got me into K-Pop and getting back into it after 3 years, I think he’s ready to make a great comeback.
I had a slight feeling that anti’s were going to hate the MV or the auto-tune but I haven’t heard anything yet. In fact, people are saying that they love it and that Se7en is going to help YG dominate this summer.
On the other hand with SHINee…
Again, like Se7en I love the MV, Taemin, the member’s new change and most of all, album. It’s as equally good as their first album, may I add. More good news, the video is almost 1 million views after only being out for 2 days now. ^_^
What I didn’t expect was the amount of people to dislike the MV and concept and now, SHINee have anti’s! This has got to be the first time that I see so many anti’s and people start hating SHINee. At one point, it turned into SHINee looking gay and gay being an insult. ¬_¬ Grow up.
And I admit the lyrics are a bit hmm…Her whisper is the LUCIFER (either meaning the Devil or Light Bearer/Angel or Light) But they still refer to a girl. May I also point out that again, they use the words nareul weonhae = meaning you want me like in AMIGO and DBSK’s Mirotic.
Now if Se7en’s mini-album does better in sales than SHINee’s second full-length album, well…I will be interested to see what happens.

Right now I’m preferring SHINee’s album but SE7EN’s isn’t bad at all, especially when it isn’t all super processed or auto-tuned.

I was worried about SHINee coming up against Se7en but all that came to rest after listening to his album. People waited for 4 yrs and this is what YG churns out? I was VERY UNDERWHELMED.
SHINee’s album on the other hand was PHENOM. I still cannot choose a fave song bec they’re all very good. The feedback has been generally positive and they’ve sold 22k CDs in 2 days. But the anti’s are more vocal but that is to be expected when people are poised for super stardom, when the title track name is controversial, and your mgmt company makes you look ridiculuous. I don’t frigging care how the boys look. Just let them sing and dance bec they will be awesome.
idk how to say this..but i don’t agree at all about ur anti’s Shinee statement..Shinee had gained a lot of attraction from the whole world..even this lucifer album is the most flawless album i’ve ever seen be4 in kpop..sorry to say, but even shinee now had an anti’s, they are now standing tall in about 88 country all over the world..much anti’s but too much shawols..shinee hwaiting!!!
Most of your English didn’t even make sense to me.
“Shinee had gained a lot of attraction from the whole world” – SHINee isn’t known throughout the world like some American artist.
“they are now standing tall in about 88 country all over the world” – WTH?? Explain please.
No need to be super rude when someone is discussing your opinion
Perhaps I should from now on right what my tone is on this site, because I was actually waiting them to tell me what they said. I’m curious.
I think some of SHINee’s slower songs sound better than their title track. Se7en definitely went the right way with his title track.
it is definitely SHINee. I thought they released a much better album than Se7en this time around which really showcased their abilities as maturing artists.. Se7en kind of stuck to it as a dance album comeback, not really as an album to develop himself further
so though it was good, I don’t think it really presented a new Se7en, and in the wake of so many idol groups, Se7en as a lone performer really has it tough
