Gave me 2 Different Tears…

…Tears of Joy. Tears of Pain. Yes, that’s exactly what JYPE has given me for the past three years of K-Pop. Besides bring back the Wonder Girls who I have waited for almost a year for, there still lies the issue with the state JYP is in.

They are going to have to make up for the last 9 months since JYPE took a tumble and well, people started to change their opinions towards the company. But really, who can trust or have a good opinion about any of the music entertainment companies in Korea? They all provide slave contracts that are still not dealt with! First Jaebeom, then Sun Mi. Who’s next from JYP? Joo?!

In my opinion, everything began to flop when Wonder Girls went to America. Sure cross-promoting is good but I still think they should be in Korea more than America. The only person I see breaking through into America is Jay Park. Which brings me to my next point of the people who have left JYPE this year…

Jay Park (Park Jaebeom):

BoA, Se7en, Wonder Girls, Crown J and Utada Hikaru in Japan. They all tried to breakthrough into America last year but I don’t think any of them have noticed as quickly as Jay has. JYP and all the other big shots at JYPE should be banging their heads on the tables in dismay at losing such a worthy artist like Jay. They were idiots for terminating his contract.

Honestly in my opinion, whatever this situation that Jay reported to a JYPE staff in December is still the talk amongst netizens. The thing is that many believe the “situation” blow out in June. But that’s just rumors, we shall see once Jay comes to Korea to film Hype Nation. I think when the members knew that they should have let it pass and let him comeback with them in April. And if the incident was exposed, then stand by Jay no matter how harsh the comments are. I’ll still support Jay and 2PM unlike some international or Korean fans though.

I really do hope Jay breaks through despite many people hoping Jay will come back to 2PM.

Sun Mi:

Yeah, first JYP loses his most powerful male artist then the adorable, 4-D Sun Mi which disappointed even more.

At that point, I knew JYPE was crumbling.

And replacing her with Hye Rim…hm, yeah that girl still needs to prove to me what she can do. In 2 Different Tears, is it me or does she sound similar to Sun Mi? Well, I’m just hoping since Sun Mi has passed her high school exams, what’s next now? Will she continue studying or will she come back to the Wonder Girls?

And if she does come back (which is too soon in the world of K-Pop really), will Hye Rim go back into the Chinese Wonder Girls? Personally, I liked Jia best out of the three.

Well…I wanted to be this short but yeah, I think JYPE have another 6 months to fix up the company and gain other fans because anti’s and ex-Hottests are destroying JYPE.

Maybe I’ll post another post on JYP’s State and what Jay could have possibly done because seriously, you may say: “You’re going too deep” but you guys want to know too, right? You want to figure out what it could be right? Yeah, so don’t lie.

But not all is lost though; CUBE Enertainment seem to be rising up recently with BEAST and 4minute. I mean, check out the teaser below:

  1. I feel bad for the Wonder Girls. “2 Different Tears” isn’t radio friendly here in the States. Bubblegum pop isn’t what’s popular here, even the Disney stars are starting to skank themselves out in order to make it.
JYP needs to be careful, though. Because the cover art looks like a rip-off of the Wonder Bread logo, and unless he has permission to use it he could be facing a lawsuit >.>

It’s funny, because JYP was slamming on Utada, claiming that she failed (he said the same thing about CoCo Lee, who was pretty popular here). When in fact her album was receiving heavy play on the radio, baseball games, and even over stereo systems in shops. Her video was being played, her performances were on TV, her single was on the Top 40 radio stations, and she had a sold out nation wide tour. He’s saying the the Wonder Girls are huge in the US (trust me when I say that no one knows who they are), and that they’re the first Asians to receive radio play.
I think we all know that JYP needs to just stop, sit back, and let other people handle his artists’ careers.

  2. i personally think jay got the attention he is getting now in the US because he got out of jype… he wouldn’t star in hype nation if he stayed with jype since jype turned it down before…

i feel sorry for wonder girls because the girls have everything going for them in korea before they left for the states… now, they have to work doubly hard to catch up on the other girl groups that has surpassed them while they’re gone… =(

as for 2pm, i think they’re better off doing solo projects rather than having jype pushing them to do so much work as a group with so little return… =S
