These are just some of the artists that we can expect debuting or having a comeback through September to December. Can we expect more excitement in the K-Pop industry for ourselves? Why, yes I think we can.
These were some of the artists last year that also performed on Gayo Daejun and in the last four months of 2008. But this year, has been girl group domination with a few debuts of other boys and solo artists, here’s what we can expect coming soon:
Don’t ask about Chansung’s hair – it does look like it was put on fire but anyways, 2PM are coming back!! I am so excited to see my favourites perform again, there have been pictures of JYP making their songs for their new full-length album, apparently he’s doing their second song while going to the USA to see how the Wonder Girls are doing at this moment, I miss those girls performing. But anyways…FULL-LENGTH ALBUM! I can’t wait myself, thank you very much JYP! Expect them making a comeback in Mid-October, I know I am.
2NE1 (투 애니원):
I’m not sure if they will comeback, 2NE1 are supposed to be releasing a full-album in October/November produced by G-Dragon and Teddy which should be interesting. YG has also said there are plans for their 1st concert at the end of the year. That’s even more good news to hear. But so far, I don’t think anything is confirmed but if I’m right, then WOHOO!
After releasing their mini-album, For Muzik on August 27th, 4minute will definitely be performing on stage again for a comeback. I have to say that not only me, but other people must have been impressed or are still replaying the songs on their mini-album because I know I am. Lately, I think their mini-album is showing that 4minute’s style is different and that they shouldn’t be compared to 2NE1 or After School. You must check out their mini-album, it’s THAT good. I think my favourites were mostly I Won’t Give, Muzik and Funny more.
After School (애프터스쿨):

The last time we saw these girls they were doing AMOLED with Son Dambi. There has been news that After School are releasing an album, not sure if it’s mini-album or full, but I hope it’s worth it (I really hope it’s a full-length album, of course). If they are going to release at the end of the year, I hope to see my favourites Bekha and Joo Yeon get more parts in singing too when they comeback. And perform a song more unique like “Ah!”
I think they are the first boy group I am happy about all year (Maybe because they are the only boy group this year I like except for Jumper!). As much as I hate that AJ (on top, right picture) is in the group and has been demoted from solo to group member, I can’t wait to see him and So-1 (who was supposed to be in Big Bang) singing. Probably the first interesting boy group that excites me – but not as much as when 2PM came back with their 2nd single album though. They are debuting in mid-September.
SM’s new “LACHATA” Dolls are supposed to be having their debut stage on September 5th. A lot of people don’t care about them or are on the hype of SM’s new girl group, f(x). Especially Amber, the tomboy girl, Krystal, SNSD Jessica’s little sister and Victoria. LACHATA may be released early in September but I don’t care eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-! Whoops, that’s 2NE1! My bad! The teaser is growing on me but I’m not too sure about this group and what SM plans nowadays. They should be debuting September 5th.
The great G-Dragon’s album is doing well. More than 100,000 copies sold which proves his Heartbreaker album is a success and so is his debut. In no time, it might even reach the amount that DBSK’s Mirotic album did last year with over 500,000 copies sold in four months, and 300,000 pre-orders. He should be promoting his first album, Heartbreaker. Boy, do I love the songs, Heartbreaker and The Leaders so much.
That’s right! The women who sang the addicting song 유혹의 소나타 feat. Wheesung (Sonata of Temptation) is coming back! Well that song was addicting to me really, I’m not expecting everybody to agree with me on that. People are saying Ivy and Lee Hyori are going to be coming back on the same month – October and that it should be interesting to see. I hope both albums are to my everyone’s liking.
While a lot of people don’t like the song, Vari2ty that they are promoting for their comeback, Vari2ty, I adore it but I feel like they won’t win some awards, they should have promoted this around the time Brown Eyed Girls did their song, I doubt they will win much this year. Maybe they will promote another sing after but I hope not. From their album, I think Oops! and Bounce are good songs to listen too. Joo Yeon, the rapper has to be my favourite member but the English lyrics in the songs don’t suit her at all.
Lee Hyori (이효리):
Lee Hyori, one of my favourite K-Pop solo artists will be making a comeback in October. I personally enjoyed her album last year and cannot wait for more songs this time. I hope her album will also include R&B songs like last time too. It’s going to be a battle between Lee Hyori and Ivy, who will you support?
*My money goes on Lee Hyori)*
Rainbow (That’s right! RAINBOW!!):
While DSP is shipping off KARA to Japan, the company are having a new girl group called Rainbow. And I know what you are thinking, “Rainbow? Is DSP crazy?” Well, personally I think they are especially when the group members are aged 15 – 20. How are three 20 year olds going to pull off a name like Rainbow, huh? They are to debut in October. It’s a good thing boys are starting to debut and comeback because I would be upset right now.
I wouldn’t get too excited, I’m not entirely sure about Se7en (neither am I about CSJH) and if it’s in these four months or early next year but I did hear that YG had confirmed that he would make a comeback in Korea. I was waiting two years when I first found out who Se7en was and began listening to K-Pop. I waited for a new song in Korea so when he released Girls earlier this year, the song was worth the wait but I hope he is back and releasing a full-album that’s worth listening too.
First Rain makes a comeback last year, and now it may be Se7en. I hope 2010 brings us more talented solo artists like Se7en. ^_^
Tae Yang (태양)/T.O.P:
I’m not very sure if T.O.P and Taeyang are going to be performing. Apparently on YG Live TV, we will get a chance to see Taeyang’s second album and T.O.P’s first album in the works. I heard Taeyang’s album is supposed to be coming out October/November but I’m not really sure. But I would love to get both albums and see their debuts.
These are the only artists I know about, who knows who is making a comeback or debuting. But I know one thing; October will be the hottest month of K-Pop in 2009 since June. I don’t think I can wait any longer. Who will you be looking forward too? If you know anymore, don’t forget to add in your comments!
